Moving the raw materials that build economies

Vardhan Global Limited sources, ships and delivers thermal and coking coal, iron ore and steel scrap across four continents — backed by our own logistics desk and a growing renewable energy portfolio.

Who we are

A trading house built around reliability of supply

We exist for one reason: to make sure the plant at the other end of the contract never runs short.

Vardhan Global Limited is an independent commodity trading and logistics group. We buy at the mine and the scrap yard, we charter the tonnage, we manage the documentation, and we land the cargo on the berth our customer nominated — on specification and on the laycan agreed.

Our customers are steel mills, power utilities, cement producers, foundries and induction furnaces. They work with us because a Vardhan contract is a delivered tonne, not an intention.

  • Direct mine and yard relationships in Indonesia, South Africa, Australia, Brazil and the Gulf
  • Independent, pre-shipment inspection on every parcel
  • Letters of credit, documentary collections and structured trade finance
  • FOB, CFR and CIF on dry bulk and containerised cargo

Global reach

Our trade lanes

From the loading ports of Kalimantan, Richards Bay, Port Hedland and Tubarão to discharge berths across South Asia, East Asia, the Gulf and the Mediterranean.

Direct at origin Relationships at the mine and the yard, not through a chain of intermediaries.
Freight in our name We charter the vessel ourselves, so the laycan we quote is one we control.
Tested before it sails Independent sampling at load port, with the certificate travelling in the document set.
Through to plant gate Stevedoring, customs clearance and inland haulage arranged where you need them.
Why Vardhan

Four reasons mills keep coming back

01

Verified quality

Every parcel is drawn and tested by an independent inspectorate at load port, with the certificate travelling with the documents.

02

Freight under our control

We charter in our own name. That means laycans we can defend and a single point of accountability when weather or berth congestion bites.

03

Bankable paper

Clean, conforming documents presented first time. We work with tier-one trade finance banks on LC, DP and open-account structures.

04

One group, many markets

Offices and agents across the Gulf, South Asia and South East Asia let us re-route a cargo rather than cancel it.

How we work

From enquiry to discharge in six steps

The same process runs on a single container parcel and on a full Capesize fixture. It is what keeps our claim rate low.

Start an enquiry

01

Enquiry & indication

You send the specification, tonnage, destination port and target laycan. We come back with a firm, dated indication.

02

Origin selection

We match the specification to a mine, yard or stockpile that can actually hold it, and reserve the parcel.

03

Contract & instrument

Sale contract signed, payment instrument agreed and opened, and the inspection appointment made.

04

Nomination & loading

Vessel or boxes nominated, cargo weighed, sampled and loaded under independent supervision.

05

Documents & transit

Full document set released against the instrument, with position reports through the voyage.

06

Discharge & settlement

Discharge supervised, final weights and analysis reconciled, and any quality adjustment settled promptly.

An industrial complex lit at night
“Commodity trading is not a paper business. Somebody has to own the problem when the berth is occupied and the mill is three days from a cold furnace. We decided that would be us.”
